Above the struggle for survival, food, etc., the pattern of large abstract-concrete groups in society is the search for a „Project“ or „Goal“ etc. to represent (not inherently being) „meaning“.
Such projects are often wars and the fight against other constructs like „other nations“, „other cultures“, „other religions“, etc.
In recent years the summarisation of „human-made climate change“ was a possibility of meaning-creation in the void of indifference of life beyond the struggle for survival and the small projects (the „little happiness“ of individual subjects, families, concrete groups of people etc.). Big projects, big dreams etc. are a pattern of societies as abstract bundles of many plural human beings.
